Thatcher Retractables sole focus is and always has been residential awnings. We have been in business since 1984, allowing us to perfect our product offerings and services throughout the years to best suit our customers’ needs.

Our competitors tend to not only be in the awnings business. Instead, they offer different products, including garage doors, gutters and chimneys. With such an eclectic product offering, our competitors don’t have the same dedication and expertise to providing quality awnings.

Installation:

Thatcher Retractables doesn’t solely manufacture our quality awnings; we also install and service them too. We have installed more retractable awnings in the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs than any other company, and our licensed, bonded and trained Thatcher Retractables employee will install and service your awning using proven protocols. We stand behind our products, installation and service by offering a three-year warranty.

Other awnings dealers do not offer installation services. Instead, they use subcontracted dealers or expect the homeowners to do the installation themselves. For this reason, many of our competitors do not offer warranties on their products or services.

Service:

If you have a problem with your awning, Thatcher Retractables will come to your house, assess the problem, and provide a solution to you. 

Some of our competitors do not service their products, so if your awning were to break or become damaged, it would be up to you to fix it. Before you purchase an awning from any other awning dealer, make sure you understand what your responsibilities will be if you have a problem.
